Leisurely along

Mondays and Wednesdays I have class all day, from the moment I drop Jesse off at school until 1-3 hours after he is out of school. Those mornings are rushed and stressful, with pressure to get the living room and kitchen cleaned up. The sitter picks Jesse up from school and brings him home on those days. Yesterday while trying to get him to help feed the dogs and clean up a little while I got ready and did the dishes, folded the laundry, and tidied up, he says "why do i have to do all this and the other kids dont have to help?" One disadvantage to being in dual immersion and having the later start to school, he gets to be moms helper in the morning while the kids run off to school down the block an hour earlier.

This morning when the other kids left i could hear him downstairs. With no pressure to have him helpe tidy up, no sittwe today, no early school for mom. He chooses to read. Too bad our stairs are noisy he could see my phone every time i tried to capture him.
